Scott W Gonzalez: Reflected Solitude

$150.00

A fleeting pool reflecting the canyon and cloudy sky in Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area that formed after desert rains. This is the second in a series of pools that have been carved out of the red sandstone. The first time I came across it I spent hours enjoying the solitude and majesty of the pool without seeing or hearing another human. After I left the pools the rest of Red Rock Canyon seemed busy and chaotic.

This picture was taken in mid-November 2025 after several days of rain on one of the many return visits.

Size: 18×24 inches
