MONAD is committed to supporting artists through our global exhibition platform and digital media. If you have any questions, read the FAQs below and contact us if needed.

ABOUT

Founded in the college dorms of NYU (New York University), MONAD was created by Ghanaian-British multidisciplinary artist Dez Amakye (@dokyii). With a creative foundation spanning graphic design, photography, and music production, Dez has led brand partnerships at HYPEBEAST and Foot Locker, collaborating with industry leaders like Nike, Timberland, Ray-Ban, and Gucci.

MONAD is a platform built on the belief that artists of all mediums deserve meaningful opportunities and global reach. Operating at the intersection of music, art, design, and fashion, we bridge events, exhibitions, editorial, creative direction, and brand partnerships.

We collaborate with creators and communities to produce culturally relevant work. Through MONAD Gallery and our broader ecosystem, we champion emerging and established artists, offering spaces to exhibit, publish, and connect globally.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • MONAD Gallery Terms and Conditions HERE

    • The submission deadline shared with you via the image request email is a hard deadline.

    • Your artwork must be submitted by this time to ensure your work will feature in the gallery.

    • Artists who submit after the deadline will not be featured, but will receive credit for a future exhibition.

    • Please ensure that your artwork is collected during the designated open days.

    • We are unable to accommodate shipping or pickups outside of your scheduled event dates.

    • Exhibiting artists retain 100% of the rights to own and sell their artwork.

    • If artists sell  artwork at the exhibition, they receive 100% of the sale.

    • To ensure a consistent gallery presentation, we do not display prices on the art work.

    • Only photos within the below specifications will be accepted; we will not accept low resolution images, JPGs or other file types. Please convert your images before uploading.

    • Ratio: 3:4 (12×16 inches) [Portrait Only]

    • Format: High Resolution TIFF Files  (Larger File Sizes are best)

    • Maximum number of images: 2

    • File Names: “First Name Last Name 1/2”

    • Please note, the name of your Google Drive folder is the name you inputted when you submitted to us.

    • This name will also be used on your name card in the gallery. There will not be QR codes on your name cards unless you have been otherwise notified.

    • Photographers interested in selling prints via our online store should contact us via support@monadagency.com

    • Please note: your work will only be on the online store after we receive the required information for online sales.

    • Printing: MONAD handles all printing and framing of your two pieces via MONAD Prints.

    • We use Moab paper as standard for our exhibitions. For your own projects, you’re welcome to choose from our range of paper options.

    • Artwork placement within our galleries will be decided at the discretion of our installation team. Requests will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

Our Process

Application Submission

Interested applicants must complete the admission application forms available on the home page.

Portfolio Review


The MONAD curation team reviews all submissions. If an artist’s work is a fit for our exhibitions, they will receive a notification of admission.

Fees

As an independent company, MONAD covers all exhibition costs out of pocket (venue, staffing, insurance). Painters, sculptors, and other artists never pay fees to showcase with MONAD.

When printing is required for photographers, they contribute only toward the cost of printing and framing. The finished framed prints remain theirs to keep or sell, and MONAD takes 0% commission on artwork sales made during our exhibitions.

Led by a team of artists, MONAD events are designed to highlight amazing art and to give our global community a platform. We seek to give a voice to marginalized artists through community organizing.
