Tillman's photography has been commissioned for a wide range of cultural and artistic projects, including A Century of Baldwin—a tribute to James Baldwin’s centennial, Shades of Blue, a gala hosted by the National Jazz Museum in Harlem and a multimedia stage tribute to Melvin Van Peebles. His lens has also brought life to the cover art for albums by artists such as GRITS, Shelley Nicole’s blaKbüshe, and Erickka Jones. He has documented events hosted by renowned institutions including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Brooklyn Museum.
Recognized in the publication Brooklyn on My Mind: Black Visual Artists from the Works Progress Administration 1935 to the Present, Tillman’s work is part of the evolving landscape of contemporary photography.
He serves as the official photographer for the Metro New York Chapter of the National Black MBA Association and has also documented events for the Consulate General of Jamaica in New York.
